Preservation of our clients’ privacy is very important to TURN Architects. We will never disclose our clients’ data to any third party without their knowledge and consent.

how do we obtain your data?

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

identifying our data

Personal data we hold of our clients and employees: A person’s name, address, phone number(s), e-mail address(es), website address; any data a job applicant might provide within their cv.

how are they used?

They are used for the purpose of fulfilment of our contract with and provision of services to our clients. We will only disclose our clients’ data to third parties with their prior consent, for example to other consultants for collaboration and for the purpose of inviting fee quotes on clients’ behalf, for making planning applications or other statutory applications, and for and obtaining quotes or other information from suppliers.

where are they stored?

Data is stored electronically only, on our computers, in Outlook ‘Contacts’. Data from persons making enquiries is electronically stored within written documents or other correspondence with them (eg e-mails) only.

how long is your data stored for?

We are required by our professional standards and code of conduct to store all project documentation for 6 years. Your data is stored for a maximum of 10 years.

If you apply for a job with TURN we will hold your data on file for 6 calendar years following the year of your application.

our ‘lawful basis’ for processing data

is Contract: the processing is necessary for a contract we have with our clients, or because they have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract.
