Project type:
Restaurant, Bar, Cafe and Deli on two levels
Size:
240 m2
Location:
Stoke Newington Church Street, North London
Completion:
July 2010
Summary description:
Complete refurbishment and remodelling of existing restaurant and bar premises located at the lower and upper ground floors within a locally listed building. The brief called for a ‘round the clock’ eatery venue, which includes a restaurant, bar, café, deli and shop.
The two previously separate levels are connected by means of a large void and new internal “back” stair. The venue has an enlarged commercial kitchen and improved accessible toilet facilities.
The existing front street terrace and railings were remodelled to provide a lively seating area set back from the road and littered with colourful furniture.
TURN worked in collaboration with interior designer Beth Corner on this project.
