Summary description:

The client’s brief was to internally improve the kitchen, dining, and toilet area to the rear of their property. Improve daylight and the kitchen layout with a view to the garden when working at the sink! Other works included a remodel of an existing First floor rear shower room. Boiler and cylinder relocated and new utility cupboard and cloaks toilet.

The existing dining space was extended into the garden to create a sitting space.

The project also includes thermal improvement such as under floor and new replacement roof insulation.

Internal finishes included a poured screeded and polished floor. Client built the kitchen units themselves with a quartz work top.

The extension has been formed from pre-weathered anthra zinc façade and slate roof in combination with high performance aluminium-framed windows, rooflights and doors.

The doors to the extension are sliding folding doors which connect the inside to an enlarged patio area to be used for entertaining.
